Winter wonderland comes to King's Road this month when a Xmas grotto pops up in the restaurant's famous courtyard complete with Father Christmas, hot dogs, toffee apples and popcorn - ostensibly for the kids but let's face it - it sounds pretty good to us as well - especially if you factor in the spiced mulled wine. You can also browse through festive stalls selling foodie gifts including gingerbread men and mince pies from the Bluebird Bakery, hog roast and burgers, roasted chestnuts and Bluebird Christmas trees - all while being serenaded with carols and lashings of good cheer.
The grotto officially launches to locals, members and VIPs on Wednesday 7 December with a special carol performance from the children from the Cameron House School. And if you've just been persuaded to shun the kitchen and head back to Bluebird for Christmas Day, Father Christmas will be making another special visit. |
