There may have been royalty in the audience but didn't stop celebrities from wearing racy outfits.
Singers Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger both bared their flesh for their appearances at the Royal Variety Performance in Manchester tonight.
Taking to the stage at The Lowry in Salford Quays, both artists wore their usual attire to serenade the Royal audience.
Not so Royal appropriate: Pixie Lott wore a pair of short shorts to sing at The Royal Variety Performance
Feathered fancy: The blonde singer entertained the audience - including Princess Anne - with her singing
Blonde Pixie chose to wear a pair of black thigh-skimming shorts that showed off her legs and was complete with a black fitted top and a feathered waist.
She completed her look with a pair of black ankle boots and wore her short hair in an old-fashioned curl.
Covering her legs: Nicole Scherzinger wore a floor-length black netted gown for her performance
Tight fit: The singer's dress was complete with a plunging corset that showed off her cleavage
Nicole on the other hand kept her legs hidden in a floor-length black gown that was complete with a plunging neckline.
The Poison singer showed off her cleavage in the corset dress and wore a chunky crystal necklace that highlighted the area.
Royal audience: Princess Anne arrived at The Lowry in Manchester wearing a long navy blue dress with matching gloves
Something funny? Princess Anne was all smiles as she met with Pixie after the performance
Nice to meet you: Nicole also looked really pleased to be shaking hands with Royalty
But regardless of what they were wearing both singers appeared to belt out their popular songs and wowed the audience with their performance - including Princess Anne, who was in attendance at the annual event.
Also looking glammed up, Princess Anne wore a floor-length navy blue dress that was embroidered with flowers and she kept warm in a black faux fur shrug.
She completed her look with a pair of long gloves and a velvet clutch bag.
Dressed up: Singer Cee Lo Green wore black sequin trousers with a matching shiny shirt to perform one of his hits
Not alone: The U.S. star was joined by several female dancers who wore gold glitzy dresses
The Royal also had the pleasure of watching another singer on stage in the form of U.S. star Cee Lo Green.
The Bright Lights Bigger City singer also dressed up wearing a pair of black sequin trousers, a matching satin shirt and a rather expensive-looking gold watch.
He was joined on stage by several female dancers who matched him in the sequins department by wearing gold one-shoulder dresses.
Singing In The Rain: Performer Adam Cooper entertained the audience with his rendition of the popular song
The Boy With Tape On His face: Prop-comic Sam Wills provided some unusual entertainment
Singing duet: Rolando Villazon and Hayley Westenra sang for the audience
Also performing on the stage were the cast of Singing In The Rain, including Adam Cooper.
Singers Rolando Villazon and Hayley Westenra sang a duet with one another and prop-comic Sam Wills entertained the audience with his The Boy With Tape On His Face sketch.
But perhaps the biggest performance of the night came from comedian Peter Kay who hosted the event.
Ready for the rain: Peter Kay hosted the event and kept the audience laughing
Having some fun: The comedian also led an orchestra that included ten Royal Marine drummers
The Northern funnyman kept the audience entertained as he wandered on stage in an umbrella hat, a poncho and bright yellow wellington boots as he referenced Singing In The Rain.
He also had fun leading an orchestra with the help of ten Royal Marine drummers.
Other famous faces who arrived at the event to enjoy the night of entertainment was Northern Irish comedian Frank Carson who posed for photos with a teenage girl who was set to present Princess Anne with some flowers at the show.

Former Manchester United football player, Nicky Butt, looked very smart in a tux as he arrived arm-in-arm with his wife, Shelley.
Theatre producer and chairman of Everton Football Club, Bill Kenwright, arrived with his partner Jenny Seagrove to enjoy the show.
