You know what they say about the quiet ones.

She may have taken a backseat in Girls Aloud alongside beauty queen Cheryl Cole and party animal Sarah Harding, but Nicola Roberts is vamping up her image in her new video.

The redhead, who has opted for a lighter strawberry blonde shade in the final edit, slinks around in her lingerie while posing against the kitchen sink for upcoming single Yo-Yo.

Dressed in an oversized male shirt and clutching a bouquet of flowers, the footage insinuates Roberts has perhaps been canoodling with a male admirer in the bedroom.
In another scene, the 26-year-old slips into a stunning crushed velvet purple frock as a host of beauties dance around her on the kitchen unit.

Yo-Yo, released on January 9, will be third single offering from Roberts since launching her solo career earlier this year.

Her first venture into the charts on her own was with catchy debut Beat Of My Drum back in June, which charted at a promising No17.

She later followed this with Lucky Day, which didn't peak quite as high, hovering at a low No40.

All three tracks were taken from her first solo album Cinderella's Eyes.

On Thursday, Nicola was spotted daring all over London, sharing 800 minutes of her life to promote the Nokia Lumia 800 at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.

This meant she 'took over' the company’s Twitter feed as she went to her video shoot, had lunch and went shopping, before finally performing a secret gig at one of the Carphone Warehouse stores.
