After Kim Kardashian became a household name, it's clear Kylie and Kendall Jenner are keen to follow in her footsteps.

The siblings, 14 and 16, took over red carpet duties from their older half-sister as she struggles with the aftermath of her whirlwind marriage to Kris Humphries and heads to the divorce courts.

Hosting the Hello Kitty collection launch at the Forever 21 store in LA, the girls wore mixed cutesy hair bows with thigh-skimming shorts that'd leave most parents locking them up until they reach 30.

They changed throughout the evening to model various items from the fashion line, with Kendall at one point wearing a sheer top beneath leather dungaree shorts and leopard print boots.

In another outfit, the elder sister wore black wedges with bare legs and eye-wateringly skimpy shorts.

She teamed the ensemble with a white sweater decorated with images of the brand's logo on it.

Kylie wore copycat shoes, covering an ounce more flesh in knee-high socks and marginally longer striped shorts.

The Teen Vogue model completed the look with a grey jumper brandishing the famous kitten.

Their hair was groomed identically and immaculately, with long shiny brunette ponytails hanging over their shoulders.

Kylie later switched into a grey mini dress and black tights, covering up more skin which was more suited to her age.
The brunette clearly enjoyed her duties, later tweeting: 'Coming home from hosting the Hello Kitty forever 21 launch! I love it!'

Both siblings had applied a thick layer of make-up, generously lathering on the blusher and bright lipstick.

The girls are both unsurprisingly pursing careers as models having been blessed with good genes.

Kim will need to watch out as the young starlets, who feature on reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, look ready to steal her limelight.

Kendall is already making a name for herself, having modelled for the Sherri Hill dress line, which specialises in prom dresses and gowns for pageants.
Not that the mega rich reality star even needs to earn a living, after parents Kris and Bruce Jenner treated her to a $90,000 (£56,000) Range Rover for her sweet 16th, wrapped up in a giant bow.
Little Kylie is not prepared to be left behind, launching her career last year and signing to the infamous and prestigious Wilhelmina Models agency.

Earlier this week, the fashion-conscious teenagers were rewarded for their efforts by winning a Hollywood Style Award.

Writing on their blog, Kylie said: 'It was so crazy and surreal that we were honored with the Stylish Sisters Award - such a special moment for us BOTH, especially since Khloé was the one to present us with it. What an incredible night!'

As the girls revelled in the limelight, Kim is currently divorcing her NBA star husband of 72 days.

Former publicist Jonathan Jaxson blasted the marriage as nothing more than 'a publicity stunt', claiming Kim his still in love with ex Reggie Bush.
He said: 'Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do.
'Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts [with the E! network which had TV rights] otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money... She's never gotten over [her ex].'
