Golden globes snubs 2012, Biggest Golden Globes snubs. Nominations for the 2012 Golden Globes Awards have been announced, but it seems everyone is talking about the stars, TV shows and movies that didn’t make the cut. Today’s Golden Globe nominations were filled with a handful of surprises and of course, snubs. Though Ryan Gosling and Kristen Wiig were nominated, plenty of names were noticeably absent from the list.



Where was Emma Stone, Michael Pitt, Carey Mulligan or Elizabeth Olsen , who all pulled standout performances this year in movies and television? Even Kristen Dunst didn’t get any Golden Globes love, despite her win at Cannes for best actress earlier this year.

The former Pussycat Dolls star and choreographer Brian Friedman – who accompanied her on the trip - driving through the drug-invested mountains in a bulletproof SUV when they were pulled over by mysterious gunmen.

Brian told Britain's Star magazine: "We were held at gunpoint. People next to our cars … there were M16s and Berettas!

"Nicole cursed me with this trip. It was the craziest adventure ever!"

Fortunately the pair managed to escape unharmed.

It hasn't been a good few weeks for Nicole as she recently split up from her boyfriend of four years, Lewis Hamilton, and has admitted she's still in love with the Formula 1 ace.

Rapper enters plea, Rapper Lil Wayne enters plea deal in Arizona case. Rapper Lil Wayne could avoid jail time in Arizona on drug and weapon charges after entering a plea agreement with Yuma County prosecutors.
During a change of plea hearing Friday in which he appeared via video from a New York jail, the 27-year-old Grammy winner pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug.

The charge stems from an incident in January 2008 in which his tour bus was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, 78 miles east of Yuma. Authorities say they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on the tour bus.
Prosecutors say the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, is scheduled to be sentenced June 30 and could receive 36 months of probation. He's currently serving an eight-month jail term in New York after pleading guilty last October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Lindsay Lohan's $5,000 purse was reportedly stolen while the actress was in Hawaii this week. The thief took $10,000 in cash, but returned the purse and Lohan's ID According to a report by TMZ, the actress's purse was snatched at a party on December 10 after she left it in a car while attending the event. She later realized the $5,000 purse was missing.

Honolulu Police told OnTheRedCarpet.com correspondent Tony Cabrera that the incident occurred at 1 a.m. An officer responded to the call of a car break-in and the actress reported that the property was missing from a rented jeep parked in residence driveway in Laie in the North Shore area of Oahu.

The purse was not lost for long, however, when it was returned the following day by a local, according to TMZ. The purse was missing $10,000 but her passport and other important materials, like Lohan's probation documents, remained inside. The actress' spokesperson later confirmed the report to ABC News saying, "The only thing that was missing was the money."

The travel documents were important because the actress, a former child star known for films such as "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls," is scheduled to appear in court on December 14.

Lohan has been in trouble in recent years with rehab stints and legal issues. Earlier this year, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a morgue after a judge ruled the actress violated her 2007 probation with a misdemeanor theft charge.

She recently talked about her troubles in an interview with Playboy magazine set to hit newsstands on December 16. (See photo, above)

Lohan, 25, told Playboy that over the past five years she's learned "that ultimately we are each responsible for ourselves and for our actions."

"Looking back, I probably would have listened to and taken more advice from the people whom I admire and would have followed through with it more," she added. "My stubbornness at 18 and 19 years old got in the way."

She also said, "During the past five years, I've learned that time flies faster than you think, and because you only live once you have to learn from your mistakes, live your dreams and be accountable."

Her issue of Playboy, which includes a 10-page nude pictorial, was meant to be released in January but due to the leak, the hardcopy will be released early on December 16. It was made available online on December 11. The cover features the actress straddling a red Playboy bunny logo chair wearing nothing but black heels.

Nick Nolte explains mug shot, Actor Nick Nolte, 70, is opening up about a now-infamous photo taken of him after he was arrested for DUI in 2002. Nolte says the photo was not his actual mug shot, and it was taken while he was at the hospital for a blood test. Nick Nolte had been named the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine in 1992, which is a far cry from his infamous mug shot taken after his arrest 10 years ago.

The actor’s police photo, with stringy hair and a face that looks worrisome, had been an ongoing joke for websites and TV shows for over a decade.

Nolte explains that the photo itself, taken after his DUI arrest, was not a real mug shot.

The actor told People that it was a Polaroid photograph taken by a young officer at the hospital where Nolte was taken for a blood test. He also explains in the latest issue of GQ magazine that he was under the influence of ecstasy that night, not alcohol. Nolte told GQ it helped with workouts and improved his moods.

When the officer at the hospital asked if he could take a photograph, Nolte told GQ: “I said, ‘Come on, you don’t really want to ask that, do you?’”

The officer did and Nolte agreed to pose if the officer shared any proceeds he made off the photograph with his colleagues.

Three days later he checked himself into Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut for counseling. When drug tests came back confirming Nolte’s story of GHB, also known as the ‘date rape drug,’ he responded, “been taking it for four years and I’ve never been raped.”
